A 58-year-old mentally challenged man committed suicide by jumping from the second floor of a hotel at Dhakoli in Punjab’s Mohali district after repeated business failures. On information, the police took the dead body into custody and kept it in the mortuary of Civil Hospital, Derabassi. The deceased has been identified as Kuldeep Sharma, a resident of Kaithal (Haryana). Although at present he lived in Baltana. He was mentally troubled for the last one year regarding business.
The wife of the deceased told that he was engaged in business for a long time and tried his hand at many different types of works, but he took this step after getting frustrated with life after not getting any success every time. The wife told that she had once partnered in the hotel from where she jumped and a year ago she ended her partnership from there as well. After this, the deceased had opened a cigarette kiosk outside a hotel in Baltana area. If he could not succeed in that too, he started getting mentally disturbed. Due to the old partnership in the hotel, Wah used to go there often to pass the time. Because of this, no one stopped him from going to the terrace.
