The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has devised a new strategy to crack down on notorious gangsters running their network from jails in several states of northern India including Punjab. According to sources, the NIA has written a letter to the Union Home Ministry. In this, about 25 gangsters lodged in the jails of many states of North India including Punjab have been asked to be shifted to the jails of South India. It is expected that action can be taken in this direction in the coming days.
As soon as it was revealed in the NIA investigation that the gangsters lodged in the jails of Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and Rajasthan have links with the terrorists sitting abroad, from that day itself the NIA started breaking this nexus. If sources are to be believed, even the helpers of gangsters in jails are becoming government employees, this has also come to the fore.
In some states, action has even been taken against senior police personnel. In such a situation, steps have now been taken in this direction. In this the gangsters were identified in the first phase. One of the reasons behind shifting these gangsters to the southern states is that the language barrier will become a barrier for these people there.
