Center Praised Performance Of Aam Aadmi Clinics Of Punjab – CGCHOTBOX

The Central Government has appreciated the many initiatives of the Punjab Government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann towards providing standard health facilities. The Government of India regularly monitors the progress of the National Health Mission (NHM) in the states through various methods. In the Common Review Mission (CRM) review conducted every year, the Center team has appreciated the work of Aam Aadmi Clinics.

Under this, a team of government officials, public health experts, representatives of development stakeholders and civil society organizations conduct field visits to different states. The purpose of CRM is to evaluate the implementation of programs from the perspective of the people. A 16-member 15th Common Review Mission team led by Dr. A Raghu, Deputy Director General, Ministry of AYUSH, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare visited the state from November 4 to 11.

During this, the team assessed the arrangements in Firozpur and Rupnagar districts. Expressing satisfaction over the initiatives being taken by the state government, the team appreciated the state and said that more and more institutional deliveries are taking place in the state and pregnant women are being provided standard dosage in all health facilities. Most of the women have been paid GSY by DBT.

Similarly, family planning facilities are also available in most of the health institutions. Family Participatory Care is being practiced in district hospitals. Breast feeding corners have been set up in district hospitals. RBSK screening is being done in EWC and government and government aided schools and free services are being provided to the children.

The CRM team said that the clinics are running smoothly with a team of MBBS doctors and para-medical staff. A paperless system is available for reporting and recording patient data. Various lab tests and medicines are available free of cost in Aam Aadmi clinics.

108 ambulance service is being used with better community awareness. During this, Health Secretary Punjab Ajoe Sharma and Mission Director, National Health Mission, Punjab Dr. Abhinav Trikha felicitated the team members by giving them honours. Director Health Services Dr. Ranjit Singh Ghotda, Director Family Welfare Dr. Ravinderpal Kaur, Director National Health Mission Punjab Dr. Satinderpal Singh along with other senior officers and Program Officers of Health Department were present on this occasion.
