The Central Government has appreciated the many initiatives of the Punjab Government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann towards providing standard health facilities. The Government of India regularly monitors the progress of the National Health Mission (NHM) in the states through various methods. In the Common Review Mission (CRM) review conducted every year, the Center team has appreciated the work of Aam Aadmi Clinics.
Under this, a team of government officials, public health experts, representatives of development stakeholders and civil society organizations conduct field visits to different states. The purpose of CRM is to evaluate the implementation of programs from the perspective of the people. A 16-member 15th Common Review Mission team led by Dr. A Raghu, Deputy Director General, Ministry of AYUSH, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare visited the state from November 4 to 11.
During this, the team assessed the arrangements in Firozpur and Rupnagar districts. Expressing satisfaction over the initiatives being taken by the state government, the team appreciated the state and said that more and more institutional deliveries are taking place in the state and pregnant women are being provided standard dosage in all health facilities. Most of the women have been paid GSY by DBT.
