A major negligence has come to the fore in the elections of Panchayati Raj Institutions in Haryana. In place of the candidates for whom the election was held, the voting was done on another name and symbol.
The matter is of Dabwali block committee of Sirsa district. Here on Wednesday, in Ward 19, elections were conducted on the EVMs of Ward 20. 501 voters also cast their votes. Now the hands and feet of the officials are swollen on this negligence. The matter has also come to the notice of the Haryana Election Commission. The commission has canceled the election of ward number 19 of Dabwali block. Instructions have been issued to hold re-election here on November 12.
Haryana Election Commission has confirmed this in conversation with Amar Ujala. It has been told that there were only two candidates in Ward 19, due to which there was a direct face-to-face contest. Preliminary investigation revealed that the EVMs sent by the Election Commission for Ward 20 were sent to Ward 19. Now the Election Commission has made preparations to take strict action against the responsible officials along with conducting a detailed inquiry into this negligence.

During the voting, both the candidates of Ward 19, Deepa Singh and Ravi Gill kept asking for votes outside, while inside booth number 98, both had no names and symbols. Out of 3720 votes in Ward 19, 790 votes are from booth 98. The special thing is that there were symbols and names of four candidates on the EVMs of Ward 20, even after this, neither the polling team nor the voters were noticed. After casting 501 votes, a conscious voter noticed this disturbance and informed the polling team. Thereafter the voting was cancelled. Although the EVM of Ward 20 was correct.
