The incident of suicide of Dr. BR Ambedkar National Institute of Technology (NIT) student Pankaj Kesari has left the police confused. The father of the student, who reached Jalandhar from Varanasi, said that his son’s handwriting is not in the suicide note, it needs to be investigated because his son was not upset or else he would call and tell his problems to the family members.

Father’s allegation- Hostel administration did not give correct information
Father Durga Prasad Kesari has alleged that he was given wrong information by the hostel administration. They were told that the son had been admitted to the hospital as his health deteriorated. When he came to Jalandhar, he was told that his son had committed suicide. When he was given the suicide note recovered from the hostel room, he said, it is not my son’s handwriting and he cannot take any such step.

Will send diary for forensic investigation: DSP

DSP Surinder Dhogdi said that the police is sending the diary for forensic examination. Pankaj Kesari’s mobile calls have also been traced, which will be closely investigated. NIT manager has also clearly said that Pankaj Kesari had no complaint, he never talked about trouble or trouble.

Pankaj had returned to the hostel from the village a few days back. He was happy and was going to clear B.Tech with hard work. What compelled him to commit suicide?
