Three people, including AAP councilor Davinder Singh Roni, have been arrested for illegal recovery from tippers and trolley drivers. On the complaint of the mining department, the police have registered a case against him. People had complained to the officials of the mining department that the vehicle which comes out with sand from the mining site of the government is being forcibly recovered by cutting the slip. It was said in the complaint that the government has fixed the price of sand at Rs 9 per square foot plus GST.

Goonda tax is being collected from Rs 1700 to Rs 1800 from those carrying sand in vehicles. The JE of the Mining Department also confirmed all the allegations after investigation. After this, the Bilga police station arrested all the three accused who were extorting money along with JE. All three were in the Bolero car. The slips were also caught from them.

Police officials said that among the accused are Davinder Singh Rauni, Amandeep Singh and Harjit Singh, councilors from Gopalnagar in Jalandhar. SSP Swarndeep Singh says that the case has been registered on the complaint of the team of officials of the mining department. Let us tell you that Davinder Singh Rauni became a councilor by contesting as an independent. After that he joined the Aam Aadmi Party.
