Sgpc Elections To Be Held On November 9 – CGCHOTBOX

The election of the President of Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) and other office bearers and members of the Executive Committee will be held on November 9. For this, the annual general gathering will be organized at Teja Singh Marine Hall located at the head office of SGPC. This was announced by Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami, President of Shiromani Committee.

Advocate Dhami told that the general ceremony of SGPC will be held on November 9 at 1 pm in Teja Singh Marine Hall located in Shiromani Committee office. In this, all the members of the SGPC will be present and the President, Senior Vice President, Junior Vice President, General Secretary and 11 members of the Executive Committee will be elected through the Sarva Committee or by voting on behalf of the members.

President of Shiromani Committee Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami said that the office bearers of Shiromani Committee are elected every year in the month of November. Under this, the General Ilaas is organized. Dhami said that the Shiromani Committee, being the representative organization of the Sikh community, is always striving to take forward the national issues along with taking care of the Gurdwara Sahibs in accordance with the communal norms and is discharging its duties well.

He said that the most important issue of the present time is the release of the captive Singhs, about which the Shiromani Committee is serious. In this regard, a five-member committee of senior lawyers has been formed, which will work to take the entire matter forward from the legal side. Along with this, a meeting of Sikh scholars and senior lawyers will also be convened soon.

Petition filed in Supreme Court
SGPC President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami said that a separate Haryana Gurdwara Committee will also be discussed in the meeting of Sikh scholars and lawyers. He said that in the case of Haryana Gurdwara Management Committee, Shiromani Committee has filed a review petition in the Supreme Court on behalf of Haryana State member of Shiromani Committee on Monday.

Harbhajan Singh Masana’s review petition will also be filed today. He said that the centenary celebrations of Saka Sri Panja Sahib were being organized at Gurdwara Sri Manji Sahib Diwan Hall on October 27, in which the issue of release of captive lions and Haryana Committee during the Panthak Sabha would also be discussed. More and more organizations and sectarian representatives will participate in this gathering and further programs on both these issues will be announced.
