Sunder Sham Arora Is The Third Former Minister To Be Arrested In Mann Government – CGCHOTBOX

Sunder Sham Arora, arrested in the Aam Aadmi Party government, is the third former minister to be arrested after Sadhu Singh Dharamsot and Bharat Bhushan Ashu and the first leader from the Congress to join the BJP. Sources reveal that many more former ministers are also on the target of Vigilance. It may be noted that Sunder Sham Arora has been close to former minister Captain Amarinder Singh. Captain Amarinder Singh had merged his party Punjab Lok Congress with the BJP some time back.

At the same time, Arora had already joined the BJP. After the formation of the Aam Aadmi Party government, in the government of Captain Amarinder Singh, Forest Minister Sadhu Singh Dharamsot was arrested by Vigilance in the forest scam. He got bail from the Punjab and Haryana High Court after a lot of hard work. Former minister Bharat Bhushan Ashu was also arrested by the Vigilance team recently when he was getting his hair cut in the salon.

Another former Congress minister Sangat Singh Giljian is also on the target of Bhagwant Mann government. A case has been registered against him in the Jungle scam. Vigilance is looking for Gilzian to arrest him. Giljiyan has been underground for a long time and is not able to reach Vigilance. Apart from this, former speaker Rana KP Singh is also on the target of Vigilance. He too had gone to Delhi to join the BJP but the party refused to accept him.

Used to show off from outside, were scared from inside

Former cabinet minister Sunder Sham Arora reached Vigilance twice to record his statement. During this, he used to pretend every time that he was strong enough. He also used to answer the questions of the media, but from inside he was afraid of Vigilance’s investigation. When he was questioned last time, Vigilance inquired from him only about the allegations of industry scam against him. After that he was very upset. Only then did he plan to bribe Vigilance.

On the other hand, Minister Brahm Shankar Zimpa said that he is proud of Bhagwant Mann Sarkar, who appointed capable and honest officers. Sunder Sham Arora created properties worth thousands of crores by doing scams during his tenure. Bribing the Vigilance Department to influence his investigation is proof of this. Had he been honest, he would have allowed the investigation to happen and not tried to buy the investigating officers on the basis of money. However, in his own Congress government, he was suspended from the cabinet due to the Mohali JCT land scam and other scams.

He had joined BJP after the election and fearing ED. It is also a big question mark on the BJP that they have shown their greed for power in Punjab by including many such corrupt leaders in their party. Zimpa said that the AAP government will conduct an in-depth investigation of all benami properties, including colonies, shopping malls, schools and hospitals, made out of black money earned by Sunder Sham Arora.
