In Punjab, People Will Not Have To Push For Clu And Other Approvals – CGCHOTBOX

The government has taken important steps to make business easier in Punjab. Now people will not have to wait long and visit offices for approvals like Change of Land Use (CLU) certificates, completion certificates, layout and building plans. These rights will be with the CAs of various units of Punjab Urban Planning and Development Authority (PUDA). Housing and Urban Development Minister Aman Arora confirmed this. He told that this decision will prove to be very beneficial for the people.

Ease of doing business is the priority of the government. Under which all this process is being done. This order of the government will start from Mohali, Ludhiana, Jalandhar, Amritsar, Patiala and Bathinda authorities. This will also give power to the authority. Because he will give these approvals at his level. Principal Secretary of the department Ajoy Kumar said that now the Chief Administrator will be able to give license in all categories of colonies. A committee under the Additional Chief Secretary (ACA) of the concerned authority will approve residential/ industrial/ commercial colonies and mega projects. Industrial Parks (including expansion of existing projects) The committee has been empowered to sanction all stand alone projects except industrial parks above 15 acres, all allotted auction sites above one acre and industrial and more than one acre. Will be the authority to approve the building plan of the sites on the inner side of the private project.

Chief Town Planner PUDA will have these powers
The Chief Town Planner PUDA will have the right to approve commercial institutions including educational/medical/religious/social charitable institutions, farm houses of more than 15 acres, hotels and eating places. Sinha said that the Senior Town Plan of the circle concerned would have the powers to approve the building plan along with the approval of the zone plan including the existing expansion of residential/industrial/commercial colonies, mega projects and industrial parks. This includes all MSME district level projects, industries and all stand alone projects. Apart from this, rights for compounding of educational/medical/religious/social religious institutions up to 15 acres, farm houses up to 15 acres and compounding acres of all industrial buildings up to 10 acres will also be included.

PBIP will be able to give approval to these buildings
Senior Town Plan PBIP will have the power to approve compounding of all single state level industrial buildings and all industrial buildings of more than ten acres. The District Town Plan has been empowered to approve the building plans of rice shellers, brick kilns, petrol pumps and stone crushers. Apart from this, the Competent Authority will have the right to issue fulfillment, partial completion, occupancy certificates.
