The ancient Sangla temple of Hindus in Ludhiana became a battleground on Sunday by some anti-social elements when Punjabi singer Ji Khan came there to apologize for his mistake. Surprisingly, those who called themselves Hindu leaders were also involved in making the ancient Sangla Wala Shivala temple a battleground. He did not stop here, but in the temple premises itself, he abused and violated the decorum of the temple by running bricks and stones.
The chief servitor of the temple and Mahant Narayan Das Puri tried hard to stop them but the attackers also pushed and abused them. Some leaders were also seen fighting outside the temple. After the information, the top officers along with the police of many police stations reached there.
The attackers then fled from there. Police have started investigation by taking possession of CCTV camera footage from there. Punjabi singer Ji Khan had sung a vulgar song from the stage during Ganesh Utsav a few days back. After this, Shiv Sena Punjab, headed by Sant Samaj, opposed it and filed a case against the singer in the police station division two. The court has also granted bail to Zee Khan.
